Chef David Turin Debuts New Restaurant

David’s Opus Ten

PORTLAND, Maine – Chef David Turin is taking his creative cuisine to the next level with the opening of his third Portland area restaurant, David’s Opus Ten.  The new 18-seat venue is located within David’s in Monument Square, making it the first restaurant within a restaurant in Maine.

David’s Opus Ten features a prix fixe multi-course menu with optional wine pairings. Guests will be treated to seven courses Tuesday through Thursday for $55 and nine courses on Fridays and Saturdays for $65. The dining area, designed by Kaplan Thompson, features an elegant atmosphere with exposed brick walls, contemporary lighting, linens and a chef’s table that seats two, overlooking the kitchen for Opus Ten. Chef Turin and Chef Bo Byrne, who previously worked at David’s 388 in South Portland, create the menu, which will change frequently.

davids-restaurant-insideThe new restaurant within a restaurant concept allows Chef Turin to expand his roster of Portland restaurants and provide customers with a new fine dining experience. The menu features Chef Turin’s twist on creative cuisine with a more refined approach. Courses recently featured include butter poached lobster served with a risotto cake, citrus, truffle, and micro greens, and chanterelle mushrooms and angel hair with Parmesan tuille.
Opus Ten is Chef Turin’s tenth restaurant in his 30-year career as a restaurateur. Calling it “a dream come true,” David’s Opus Ten invites guests on a unique culinary journey that will touch upon the fresh flavors and tastes of every season. Chef David Turin said, “With a farmer’s market located right outside our doors and access to New England’s best seafood, the restaurant will offer a symphony of flavors that flows from one course to the next. I’m asking my loyal customers and new guests to trust me as I treat them to a phenomenal dining experience in the heart of downtown Portland.”
David Turin is head chef and owner of David’s Restaurant and David’s 388. For reservations at David’s Opus Ten, please call 207.773.4340.
