The new menu at Diamond’s Edge will feature the freshest selection of seasonal ingredients and focus on seafood native to the Casco Bay area. Dinner offerings include appetizers of oysters, little neck clams, mussels and crab cakes and for entrees, bouillabaisse, steamed Maine lobster, cod, and scallops. For people who aren’t partial to seafood, the restaurant also serves entrees of chicken confit, filet mignon, roasted vegetable napoleon and a grilled pork chop. The lunch menu features local favorites such Great Diamond Seafood Chowder, Bang Island Mussels, and Fried Casco Bay Cod Sandwich as well as a variety of salads and burgers.
The restaurant’s summer hours will be:
Memorial Day – June 13: Open for dinner on Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays
June 13 – Labor Day: Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner
Labor Day – September 29: Open for dinner Tuesday – Saturday
In addition, Sunday brunch will be available during July and August.
Diamond’s Edge restaurant is situated in Diamond’s Cove on Great Diamond Island. The restaurant can be reached by private boat, and has a marina, or by ferry from Portland. Ferry service to the island is available through Casco Bay Lines. Ferries currently depart Portland for Diamond Cove at 5:45 PM and 7:15 PM. Returning ferries leave the island at 8:15 PM or 10:15 PM.
