CAMDEN HARBOUR INN AND NATALIE’S RESTAURANT PRESENT 2nd ANNUAL THAI CULINARY RETREAT IN CAMDEN, JANUARY 27- FEBRUARY 6
CAMDEN, Maine – For those who can’t make it to Southeast Asia this winter, the Camden Harbour Inn and its award-winning restaurant Natalie’s are preparing to spice up winter with a Thai culinary retreat beginning January 27.
This exceptional Thai Fusion dining experience will feature dishes prepared by guest Thai Chef Michael Mac Donnell and Natalie’s Chef de Cuisine Lawrence Klang. Mac Donnell, a former resident of Thailand who is also married to a native of Thailand, is known for his distinctive style which evolved from his extensive exposure to Eastern food cultures. He has trained and cooked in Thai restaurants around the country. His Thai culinary skills paired with Lawrence Klang’s award winning classic French fare will create a Thai Fusion meal not to be missed.
“This style is more of an approach to cooking – a philosophy about food
– using the highest quality, freshest ingredients with respect and
imagination,” said Mac Donnell. “I love creating new ways to combine
what I can find locally with products available from around the world.”
Mac Donnell plans to open up an Asian market and lunch counter in
Rockland, Maine in the spring of 2009.
As part of this Thai culinary experience, classic Thai music and/or
dance will be performed nightly in the restaurant. In addition, the
Camden Harbour Inn is offering packages for a two-night stay with a
Tropical welcome cocktail, gourmet breakfast, Thai massage, a Thai
cooking classes and a five course Thai Fusion tasting dinner. The

The Thai culinary event will be featured at Natalie’s between January
27 and February 6. A five-course Thai tasting menu ($65) and a
five-course Thai lobster menu (market) will be part of the a la carte
menu. A lighter fare menu and Asian inspired cocktails will be
